The last home that I resided in before leaving San Diego for college was with my aunt on Oceanview Blvd. A kaleidoscope blends images and colors together to create a new image or vision which is what I was embarking on in my journey to learning thyself. This is my aesthetic vision of Yemaya Ikonla. The handle is made with faux green snakeskin upholstery fabric, decorated with turquoise quartz crystal beads, sterling silver beads, swarovski beads, miyuki and delica beads. The cap is beaded with a combination of miyuki and delica beads. Feathers used in this design: turquoise-dyed peacock feathers, corona feathers, golden feathers and blue plumage.
